Tom: If you are referring to the BUFR data, Keith Brill at NCEP has collected various routines (Fortran and C code) for decoding the data and it is available on the NIC ftp server. I have been successful in using them on our HP-755 with Eta and MesoEta BUFR files. Those models have individual files for each station whereas the RUC2 has all stations rolled into one file for each forecast hour. Because of this I will have to rewrite the main routine I use but I would be happy to share it with you when I get it done (hopefully by early March). Would also be interested in trying out your program locally. Regards, Phil Harvey
