I've been watching MI/IL CAPE ahead of the approaching system, and all the daylight runs have lost 500-1000J of CAPE from the F00 to F01 timestep. Then the next hour's run, it gets that CAPE back, but the new F01 drops down dramatically. And so on... Also the new HRRR continues to run 3-5F too hot when it has sunshine - I've noticed that a lot the past week. That shows up quite well in RAP BUFKIT soundings.
