devRUC13 goes to 48 hrs, loops available

Rainer, Sorry - no RUC runs out to 72h. The development RUC13 goes out to 48h, as does the backup RUC13, both run at GSD. The 48h runs occur only twice daily, and the runs are out to every 24h at other 3h intervals (03z, 06z, 09z, 15z, 18z, 21z). If a 48h run is missed at 00z or 12z for some computer or network reason, there may be only 24h forecasts available - you apparently caught one of those situations yesterday. But the 48h runs have been available today for the 12z run for both the devRUC13 and the backup RUC13. We haven't run any of the GSD RUC runs out to 72h before. And while posting, for all RUC web site users, a nice looping option has been added as an option for all products and all RUC and WRFRUC model runs. There are very nice for following time continuity of forecasts, for instance, for following TS Ernesto via 500mb vorticity. Go to http://ruc.noaa.gov/pig.cgi?13km_D2+am+T12 or http://ruc.noaa.gov/pig.cgi?13km_D2+am+T00 and click on 500mb ht/vort or tropopause pressure in the "Loop" column. Stan - Rainer's original message from Sat PM. I can no longer find RUC forecasts beyond 24 hrs at your URL. Didn't you post 13 km devRuc forecast fields out to 72 hrs in the past? What happened?
