There is no accounting for this effect in the atmospheric thermodynamics of the RUC model. The rain water is assumed to be at the temperature of the air, so that warming (or cooling) of the air by conduction of heat from water drops that are warmer (or cooler) than the air is ignored. The cooling/heating resulting from evaporation/condensation, as well as from melting/freezing, are, of course, accounted for. These latter effects are typically dominant. The heat content of the precipitation IS, however, taken into account in the heat budget of the ground surface. That is to say, the ground surface (soil or snow) will feel the precipitation as a heat source or sink if the precipitation that falls on the ground surface is warmer or cooler than the ground surface itself.
