can you give us any more details? (Probably best to email me offline at bill.moninger@noaa.gov) Here in Mountain Time, 11Z comes pretty early, so I'd rather not come in at 4am to debug this if possible.

I presume you're calling up RUC soundings. Have you tried asking for MAPS soundings? Also, sometimes the 'latest' timestamp causes trouble; you can get around this by asking for a specific time.

Also, I note that the 0Z and 12Z RUC runs finish slightly later than the other hourly runs, because they must ingest RAOB data. But forecasts from earlier runs should still be available.

Also, are you able to duplicate the problem around 0Z?
