HTML5 display linked from main soundings page

Greetings,

we have now linked our interactive HTML5 sounding display--with nearly all the capabilities of our java sounding display--directly from our main RUC/RAP/HRRR sounding page at http://rucsoundings.noaa.gov/. Simply click the "HTML5 plot" button to get this interactive, non-java display.

This display is usable on touch screens, such as tablets and smart phones, as well as traditional laptops and desktops. And, you won't encounter the warnings that java applets currently generate.

This latest HTML5 display takes arguments, so you can pre-load your soundings of choice. For instance, if you want the latest 3 hours of Op40 soundings for MIA, you could directly call
http://rucsoundings.noaa.gov/gwt/?airport=MIA&n_hrs=3

Please send any comments or questions to me directly at bill.moninger@noaa.gov, rather than to the entire forum.

-Bill
