java soundings display is now 'signed'

Greetings, because of increasingly disturbing warning messages about the java applet used to display model and RAOB sounding data, we have now 'signed' our java code with a certificate from a trusted certificate authority (Symantec, formerly Verisign). Users of the java soundings display at http://rucsoundings.noaa.gov/ who request 'java based plots' should now see only a notice that the java applet has been produced by NOAA, and be given the option to not be presented with that notice again. We hope this will make your user experience more enjoyable. Please let me know if you encounter any issues with this change. -Bill
