"Simplified" SkewT plots now available

Greetings, At the request of several users of the RUC soundings display who are not meteorologists, we have created a simplified version of the sounding plots. The background on these plots has ONLY altitude and temperature lines, so lacks the isobars, hodograph, adiabats, and mixing ratio lines of a typical SkewT. The simple and full background can be toggled via a button under the plot, or can be chosen from the main soundings page at http://rucsoundings.noaa.gov/. Also, for those who address specific SkewT plots directly, the simple background can be requested by adding this to the end of the web address: simple = true& Please let me know (at bill.moninger@noaa.gov) if you encounter any problems with the soundings display. -Bill
