500mb temp 21Z 21 Apr. 06

Noticed rapid 500mb cooling across KS this afternoon. Temp went from about -16C to -23C over central KS in about 5 hours. This anomaly does not appear in earlier RUC forecasts across the area but appears quite suddenly over the past few hours. Is it real?
