Tom,
"olon(i,j)" is nothing more than the longitude of grid point (i,j) (negative for western hemisphere). So the wind rotation depends on the difference between the gridpoint longitude and the center longitude or meridian (-95 deg W for the RUC). Write back directly to me at stan.benjamin@noaa.gov if you have any more questions. Good luck. Stan

Stan,

In the code snippet, there is a term "olon(i,j)" which I do not recognize. Is this a function in a FORTRAN library, and if so, what does it translate to? I'm working in C , and couldn't find any reference to olon in my old FORTRAN reference.

Thanks, Tom
