Improved/new RUC web products

Many improvements regarding the RUC web products available at http://ruc.fsl.noaa.gov have occurred over the last 2 months. A complete (and identical) set of products is now being generated for each version of the RUC, including a few new products:
- a combined SLP/precip/thickness
- run total precip
- run total snow
- aviation flight rules (experimental!).

There are now real-time products available from 6 full CONUS-domain versions of the RUC, including:
- operational RUC (out to 12h)
- backup RUC (out to 24h)
- development cycle #1 (out to 48h)
- development cycle #2 (out to 24h, now including METAR cloud assimilation)
- 13-km RUC forecasts (out to 24h)
- 20-km forecasts initialized from the RUC but using the WRF EM model (out to 24h).

More information on each is available through the FAQ (see index on left) and the change log on the product menu page for each RUC version. In addition, there are
10-km regional forecasts of the RUC and WRF-RUC models
over the northeastern US (both out to 48h).

All products are made more reliably now. If you link directly to any RUC products, you should check your command now being used for display to ensure that it matches what is now being used from the RUC web site cgi scripts.

Lastly, the areas covered for regional products from national-scale runs have been enlarged somewhat. There are also history products available from cycles over the last 24h, to allow users (including developers) to go back and see how previous forecasts verified.

All of these changes in RUC web products have been made by Kevin Brundage. Thanks, Kev. As always, we welcome comments on products and forecast behavior.
