In Response To: RUC data archive through DOE/ARM (Stan Benjamin)

My laboratory at UC Berkeley has been developing models for several agricultural and rangeland systems. These models are driven by weather variables such as daily max min temperature, rainfall, RH, runs of wind and solar radiation. These systems models are being embedded in a GIS that grid the continental United States, hence we require geo-referenced weather data to run the model. Other groups around the country will require similar data sets. Would it be possible to obtain historical data say for the last 5-10 years? The first data sets could be limited to the western US, expanding to other regions once we know how to handle such large volumes of data. The current applications are for the analysis of invasive species in the west. Thank you very much for assistance in this matter.
Yours sincerely,
A. P. Gutierrez
