The product generation for the RUC (to AWIPS grids, for example) is planned to change from being performed on the old Cray J90 at NCEP to the IBM SP. This change is planned to occur at 1200 UTC on Monday 13 March, and will result in a speed-up of a few minutes in the RUC product availability. A similar change occurred for the Eta model yesterday.
