Can someone tell me how to interpret the units used in the UVV predictions. I'm fairly non-mathematical, and was wanting to use the UVV to help predict mountain wave conditions in Washington State and correlate with sat fotos on wave clouds. I read the discussion on UVV at this site but I still don't understand what units are plotted and how to intepret them. We sailplane pilots think of lift and sink strengths in feet per minute.
