The 12-h fcsts from Cray5 are getting out from 16-24 mins faster now with this posting speed-up, a bit better than the 10 min I estimated yesterday. The analyses are out from 0-7 min faster, comparing today's runs with Wednesday's, averaging maybe 3 min faster. Since most of the post-processing is done after the model fcst, this is when it really helps the most. Stan |
