.DISCUSSION...
Just minor tweaks for the evening update. Shortwave over ncntl
Mexico will continue tracking ewd overnight and toward the Tx
coast Tue morning & early afternoon. Mid-high cloudiness should limit
peak cooling potential from the front that passed thru earlier
today. Based on obs and aircraft soundings, guidance has really been
struggling with the post-fropa llvl moisture profile (too moist).
We may still see a few sprinkles in association with ascent in
the mid-levels with the approach of the shortwave later tonight
and Tue morning, but suspect a majority of any radar returns will
be associated with virga...esp northern 2/3 of the area. 47

AVIATION[00Z TAF Issuance]...
Tonight CIGS will mostly hang around VFR north of I-10, and MVFR
toward the coast. CXO, IAH and SGR will likely flirt with MVFR
cigs around 05/07z, with CXO potentially dropping to MVFR later
around 10z. Low CIGS should start to scatter out around 16/17z.
HOU may scatter out of MVFR before then, but CIGS around LBX and
GLS will likely stay MVFR throughout the TAF period. Winds are
currently out of the N with moderate winds and gusts. Winds will
start to calm by around 07/09z, and later shift towards the S and
SSW by 18z. 03
