.DISCUSSION...
Update: Some areas of NE Montana has either light snow or
flurries this evening. A weak wave on SW flow aloft overnight will
keep at least a chance of light snow going across the region
overnight and Sunday morning. Cloud cover will limit how fall
temperatures fall tonight in most areas. Updates included tweaks
to snow chances and temperatures overnight. Forrester
Previous Discussion:
Some flurries were observed across Northeast Montana early this
morning. Afterward, partly sunny with cold temperatures prevailed.
Temperatures remained below 0 across most areas. Mid to high level
cloudiness were observed this afternoon. Latest radar images were
showing light snow moving from southwest to northeast into
Phillips county.
Slight chance of light snow is expected tomorrow and Monday with
snow total accumulation expected to be between one quarter to half
inch. This weather pattern with a slight chance of light snow is
expected to continue from time to time most week, as a trof
establish itself across the region.
High temperatures will remain slightly above freezing through
most of the week, while lows will be between -10F to -15 F. In the
meantime, wind chills values will continue to be the main hazard.

.AVIATION...
Mostly MVFR with intermittent low clouds and scattered snow
showers will continue through Sunday. Snow showers can briefly
generate IFR visibility with their passage. Also the very light
snow is confusing many of the sensors across the region, causing
them to occasionally register present weather as UP or HZ instead
of SN.
Aircraft and airport operations will continue to be impacted by
the very cold conditions, as temperatures are expected to remain
below zero through the weekend.
